What we did
Our work encompassed designing digital ads, creating compelling keynote presentations, and producing tailored social media content. Additionally, we crafted an array of branded materials including lanyards, stickers, and directional signage, booths, registration desks, and larger environmental elements such as stairs, windows, doors, and flags.

MongoDB’s global events serve as platforms for industry connection and innovation. In over 30 cities, including New York City, London, and Milan, my role as Art Director was central to bringing these events to life. I focused on ensuring each detail perfectly encapsulated MongoDB's brand and the event experience.

As the Art Director, I led and managed our design team, overseeing all visual aspects to maintain a cohesive look across each event. My responsibilities included streamlining the creative and approval processes and ensuring effective communication with the client. The aim was to create a visually compelling narrative that remained consistent and high-quality across diverse global settings, ensuring each event uniquely resonated with MongoDB's brand identity.

Challenges and Process

Managing tight deadlines and coordinating with various vendors presented a significant challenge in maintaining a consistent art direction for MongoDB's worldwide events. Quick, creative problem-solving became essential, especially when working with limited information. We refined our review and approval process over time, ensuring efficiency during peak periods of simultaneous events.

Collaboration was crucial. We established clear objectives and roles within our team and with MongoDB, fostering a cohesive work environment. The project demanded adaptability and innovation under pressure, which we managed through open communication and realistic expectation setting. MongoDB’s trust in our creative expertise was instrumental, allowing us the freedom to exceed expectations and contribute to the success of each event.
